Tottenham Coach Antonio Conte is ready to resign from his role with immediate effect, MySportDab reports.
Conte will now hold talks with the Tottenham board about his future.
This comes after Tottenham lost 1-0 in the Premier League against Burnley.
The Italian said Spurs were showing the form of relegation clubs after four defeats in five Premier League matches.
‘I have to speak with the club,’ said Conte.
‘I can’t close my eyes and continue to work like this, and take my salary.
‘I will take full responsibility. I am open to any decision because all am trying to do is help Tottenham.
‘Four defeats in the last five matches, this is the first time it has ever happened to me in my life. This is absolutely unacceptable.
‘I came in to help Tottenham but maybe, I am not good enough to improve it.
‘I’m doing everything possible to change the situation but nothing is changing.
‘Someone has to talk about the fourth place race, and the face from our results is that we have to pay attention to not be in the relegation zone.
‘This is the truth, and when this happens, maybe there is something wrong somewhere.
‘I can’t continue to say, “OK I want to finish the season like this because my salary is good”. I will meet the club for an assessment.’
Tottenham’s 3-2 win at Premier League leaders Manchester City gave them some hope of reviving their season.
However, the defeat at Burnley has made things worse again for Tottenham.
