Cesar Azpilicueta has confirmed his decision amid Barcelona’s interest, MySportDab reports.
The defender has been linked with a move to Barcelona when the season comes to an end.
Although with the way things are right now, Chelsea might lose the player when the season concludes.
The Premier League side has been banned from making any business that involves no signing of new contracts.
They are not allowed to sign players or sell players to another club following them being banned by the UK government.
This was as a result of the club owner Roman Abramovich who was hit with heavy sanctions for his ties with the Russian government.
There has been a war going on since Russia invaded Ukraine, the situation has led to so many lives lost already.
The situation forced many clubs and leagues to pull out of their contracts or deals involving Russia.
FIFA also had to ban their national team and clubs from doing business as usual knowing they have a qualification match to play.
Chelsea is facing serious problems as they could lose Antonio Rudiger and captain Cesar Azpilicueta if nothing is done.
There have been ongoing talks with the UK government to help amend a license that was given to the club.
In doing so, they will be able to operate normally while every money made will be directly for Ukraine war victims.
Barcelona is still hoping they can raid Chelsea for another player after completing a deal for Andreas Christensen.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta confirmed his future decision amid exit rumors.
