Ajax Coach Erik ten Hag has now spoken on rumours that he could join Manchester United this summer, MySportDab reports.
Ten Hag refused to talk about his future and the links to Manchester United in a new interview today.
Earlier this week, Man United director of football John Murtough confirmed that they are working on appointing the next manager.
According to the Daily Mail, Ten Hag is now studying English to become more fluent ahead of a possible move to the Premier League.
The Ajax Coach is one of many candidates for the job.
However, Ten Hag did not entertain exit questions in his press conference on Friday.
‘Right now, I am working with Ajax and have nothing to say about the future,’ Ten Hag told Trouw.
‘I am fully focused on this season. Right now I shouldn’t be ask such questions on my future.
‘The question right now should be, how do we win games?’
MySportDab understands that Ajax are aware that Ten Hag plans to leave the club at the end of the season.
He is still frontrunner for the permanent job this summer after Ralf Rangnick takes up a consultancy role.
Ten Hag has impressed by building successful Ajax teams over the years that have dominated in the league and the UEFA Champions League.
He has won two Netherlands league titles and two Dutch Cups so far at Ajax.
He played a key role in the development of former Ajax players like Donny Van De Beek, Matthijs de Ligt, and Hakim Ziyech.
The Dutchman has already been chosen by Rangnick for the job and Man Utd fans also want him.
On Sunday, Manchester United face rivals Manchester City in a must win Premier League match.
Rangnick’s side are currently 4th and remain in the race to qualify for Champions League football.
