Kevin de Bruyne and Mahrez scored a brace each as Man City beat Man United in the Manchester Derby 4-1, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A beautiful first-half display which saw both teams finding the back of the net as Manchester City showed so much class and quality.
Man United couldn’t last up to 5 minutes as they conceded through an amazing team working from Bernardo Silva to Kevin De Bruyne who scored to make it 1-0 for the home side.
Man City did well enough as the match carried on with both teams fighting hard to make something happen despite how the scoreline looked going forward in the encounter.
Manchester United were able to comeback level in the 22nd minute of the first half which saw Paul Pogba deliver a good pass to Jadon Sancho who smashed it in against his former club to make it 1-1.
Kevin De Bruyne made it his brace in the 28th minute of the game after reacting fast to a loosed ball which he smashed home giving his side the lead once again 2-1.
Things carried on with so many more talking points which didn’t result in anything as the first half ended with Man City 2-1 as they both headed inside for the break after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half was closely matched with the goals drying down compared to how it was in the first 45 minutes which was so much.
Man United tried going forward more with hopes of getting themselves back, but their opportunities wasn’t good enough to play out into anything as they carried on with more of it.
It was looking good for Man City who increased their advantage in the 68th minute of the second half making things 3-1 through Riyad Mahrez.
He added another one in the 90th minute plus additional time to make it 4-1 for the Citizens who were unstoppable moving forward.
The match ended with Man City thrashing Man United 4-1 to claim all three points and move six points away from second placed Liverpool on the table.
