FT: Nigeria 1-1 Ghana, Super Eagles To Miss World Cup (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Ghana held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in Abuja Stadium as the Super Eagles fails to qualify for FIFA World Cup, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was a good start in the first half which saw fine display coming from both Nations who did well enough to get one goal each.

First 10 minutes between Nigeria Vs Ghana was cagey as they held each other firmly making sure they couldn’t get anything inside the as it carried on going forward.

Thomas Partey scored the opening goal after a low strike was taken and the Super Eagles goalkeeper error in calculation saw the ball pass him to make the scoreline 0-1 in the 11th minute.

Things wasn’t looking good for the home side after that goal which saw the crowd going cold, but things lightened up as the game came back to live with more opportunities being created going forward.

William Troost Ekong was able to level things 1-1 for the Super Eagles after a foul on Ademola Lookman saw VAR awarding a penalty to the home side which the Watford defender stepped up and converted in the 22nd minute.

Victor Osimhen scored another one as the match carried on, but it was called back as VAR ruled it out with the Napoli man in an offside position before he scored the goal.

The first half ended with Nigeria 1-1 Ghana as they both headed inside for the break which means both Nations had to settled for a draw scoreline after 45 minutes of football played between them.

Second Half Report 

The second half was evenly balanced all through as both teams did everything possible to make sure the scoreline stayed in their favor.

Ghana continued the game knowing they have to just keep things the same until the end of the final whistle which will see them qualify.

Nigeria were no good as they kept on wasting numerous amount of opportunities going forward as the game progressed.

The match finally ended with Nigeria 1-1 Ghana which saw the Black Stars qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this year.
