Nigerian Striker Victor Osimhen scored twice as Napoli secured a 2-1 win vs Udinese in the Italian Serie A, MySportDab reports.

Osimhen has now set a new record with the brace vs Udinese today.

He is now the first Nigerian player to score more than 10 league goals in two different Serie A seasons.

Osimhen played a key role as Luciano Spalletti’s team came back from being one goal down to win the match 2-1.

The 23-year-old has now scored 11 league goals in the Serie A after 20 matches so far this season.

Gerard Deulofeu scored the first goal for Udinese in the first-half to make it 1-0.

However, Osimhen turned the match around with a beautiful headed goal in the 52nd minute to make it 1-1.

The Nigerian player scored again after 60 minutes to give Napoli a 2-1 lead.

That was his third brace in the Italian league this season.

Osimhen has scored 21 goals in 44 Serie A matches since he joined Napoli from Lille in August 2020.

The 2-1 win for Napoli has boosted their Serie A title chances as they moved ahead of AC Milan on goal difference.

Napoli have 63 points so far in the Serie A after 30 matches and remain one of the favourites for the title.

Osimhen is now in the right ahead of Nigeria’s 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifying matches against Ghana.
