Nigerian fans and the Police clashed as they destroyed the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja after the 1-1 Ghana draw, MySportDab reports.
A 60,000 capacity Abuja National Stadium quickly went wrong after the final whistle as Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup.
Ghana qualified for the tournament in Qatar on away goals.
After the match, Fans rushed onto the pitch and showed their anger by destroying stadium equipments.
Some fans stayed in the stands and watched as the stadium got ripped from the ground.
Videos have now gone viral on social media of clashes between fans and police trying to defuse the situation.
Police resulted to using tear gas on the pitch to take control of the ugly scenes at the Abuja stadium.
There was after a 0-0 draw in the first leg and Thomas Partey scored for Ghana in the 2nd leg.
William Troost-Ekong equalised for Nigeria from the penalty spot but the away goals rule meant that Ghana qualified.
Ghana failed to qualify for the last World Cup in Russia and have now redeemed themselves.
