PSG Mauricio Pochettino has now revealed his ‘special club’ in the Premier League amidst links to Manchester United, MySportDab reports.
Pochettino has described Tottenham as a ‘special club’ to him.
He has now also given Manchester United a view of his football philosophy if he is appointed as the club’s next manager.
The Saint-Germain Coach is still being linked with the Manchester United job ahead of next season.
In 2014, Pochettino left Southampton and joined Tottenham.
He performed well in his five seasons at the North London and took them to the Champions League final in 2019.
Pochettino left the club the next season as a club great due to a poor run of form.
A few months later, he got the job at PSG as the manager.
The Argentinian is loved by the Manchester United Hierarchy as the best candidate for the job.
However, Speaking on his time at Tottenham, Pochettino said:
‘The Premier League is no doubt the best football league in the world.
‘At Tottenham, it was an amazing journey for me.
‘I still feel Tottenham as my home, a comfort zone and my club.
‘It’s impossible to forget the level of commitment and how people tried everything possible to be successful.
‘That’s why Tottenham will always be a special club to me.’
Pochettino said this today in an interview with Rio Ferdinand at
‘For me, when you arrive at a new club, it’s more about agreeing on the best strategy to work with,’ Pochettino added.
‘But, it is also important to build with the culture of the club, knowing the fans, and the history of the club. All these are important.’
PSG can reach the next stage of the Champions League tonight if they win or play a draw against Real Madrid.
