Egypt Star Mohamed Salah got attacked by Senegal fans with objects after the World Cup Qualifier match, MySportDab reports.
This happened after Senegal defeated Egypt to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
The Liverpool forward firstly got confronted by a Senegal fan as they invaded the pitch.
However, security guards pulled him aside.
But, Salah was heading to the tunnel when Senegal fans started throwing several objects from above at the Diamniadio Olympic Stadium in Dakar.
Salah’s security team tried to protect and shield him from the objects as fans had a clear shot at the player in the tunnel area.
The Egyptian FA have now reported to CAF that Salah was subjected to racist abuse from Senegal fans.
During the penalties, Salah missed Egypt’s first spot-kick and there were lasers shone into his eyes.
To make things worse, Sadio Mane scored the winning to send Senegal to Qatar later this year.
Egypt went into the second leg after winning the first leg 1-0 at home.
The defeat to Senegal is another nightmare for fans after Egypt also lost the AFCON final to Senegal in January.
However, Senegal’s win was overshadowed by the poor fans behaviour in the stadium.
Egypt’s players were shown lasers throughout and it was very obvious.
