Benfica Striker Darwin Nunez has now reacted to the recent transfer rumours about his future, MySportDab reports.

Nunez has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle, and Arsenal.

The striker scored another goal for Benfica in the 3-3 draw at Anfield against Liverpool in the Champions League.

He has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, as the Red Devils plan to sign a new striker next season.

Arsenal and Liverpool have also shown interest in the player.

Nunez’s goal at Anfield is his 32nd goal of the season so far for Benfica across all competitions.

The Uruguayan is now one of the most highly-rated young strikers in Europe this season.

He is currently valued by Benfica at £60m.

With 32 goals this season, it is not news that clubs like United are interested in the player.

He is developing very well and his market value is only growing.

Now it is clear why Benfica refused to sell him for West Ham United in January.

But despite the rumours around his future, Nunez is focused on Benfica right now.

“I take what Liverpool’s coach said about me as a compliment, but am only focused on Benfica,” Nunez told TVI.

“I have nothing else to say, and I’ll fight everyday for this shirt.

“My job is to continue working hard, to take advantage of my luck. Last year I barely played and now this season has been incredible.

“I have to continue to perform like this, and also help my colleagues.”

Benfica will not stop Nunez from leaving the club this summer as they look to cash in immediately.
