Karim Benzema missed two penalties but Real Madrid beat Osasuna 1-3 to increase their lead at the top of the table, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half had goals flying in from both teams who did well enough in making sure they gave their fans something to celebrate.
David Alaba gave Real Madrid the lead in the 12th minute of the match which saw them taking a 0-1 advantage going forward.
Osasuna pulled back level in the 13th minute which was from a good finish coming from Ante Budimir who made it 1-1 as it carried on going forward.
Marco Asensio restored the advantage for his side in the 45th minute of the encounter after a good one from them saw the forward making it 1-2.
The first half ended with Osasuna 1-2 Real Madrid as they both headed inside for the break with all the advantage to the away side after 45 minutes played.
Second Half Report
The second half could have seen the goals come in surplus, but it wasn’t meant to be so as the away side striker couldn’t get things right from the spot twice.
Karim Benzema lost a glorious opportunity of giving Real Madrid a 1-3 lead in the 52nd minute of the match which he missed a penalty that could have added to their advantage.
The France International was responsible for another miss of penalty in the 59th minute which he still couldn’t pick inside the net to finish off as the match carried on with Osasuna.
Nothing happened as the match continued with more wasted opportunities coming from both teams until a late one from Lucas Vazquez in the 90th minute plus additional time to make it 1-3.
The match ended with Osasuna 1-3 Real Madrid as the away side claimed all maximum three points which increased their lead at the top of the laliga Santander table.
