Manchester United have now provided a new worrying update on Jadon Sancho’s injury, MySportDab reports.
Jadon Sancho could now miss United’s final three fixtures this season.
On Monday, United face Brentford for their final home game of the season on Monday.
This could be last time players like Mata, Matic, and Jesse Lingard play for the club at Old Trafford.
Matic has played in United’s last three matches and is likely to start against Brentford due to injuries.
However, Mata has not started a Premier League match for United since last season.
Sancho missed the match against Chelsea due to tonsillitis.
He must now wait for the inflammation to subside before they can be removed.
Fred has missed the last four games due to a calf injury but could return back against Brentford.
Edinson Cavani will resume back in training on Friday but Rangnick is unlikely to start the Uruguayan.
“I hope Fred can be available for the Brentford game,” Rangnick added.
“Tonight did not work out for him. Right now, it looks like Jadon will miss the rest of the season due to his tonsillitis.
“So, he won’t be part of the squad against Brentford.
“Edinson Cavani will be back in training tomorrow but, then, he has been missing for the last four or five weeks so it is unlikely to him to start.
“Sancho had some high temperatures over the past few days, that’s why he could not play against Chelsea.
“Hopefully, they can stop that inflammation and if the tonsils are taken out, the season might already be over at this time.”
