Manchester United have now received some bad news regarding Cristiano Ronaldo, MySportDab reports.
Ronaldo is now likely to miss the Red Devil’s final Premier league match of the season.
Manchester United travel to play against Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The plan for United is to secure a win, finish in the top six and qualify for the Europa League next season.
However, According to The Athletic, Ronaldo will not be in the squad and miss the game due to a hip flexor injury.
The 37-year-old has barely suffered any injuries this season apart from missing two games in January due to the same hip issue.
Despite missing the Crystal Palace match, Ronaldo will still finish as United’s EPL top scorer this season with 18 goals in 30 Premier League matches.
Also, Paul Pogba will not play against Crystal Palace ahead of his summer exit on a free transfer.
New Coach Erik ten Hag has already said that he is ready to work with Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
He described the club legend as ‘magnificent’ ahead of his reign at the club.
While United’s face Crystal Palace on Sunday, Ronaldo will use this time to regain fitness.
The Portuguese is still expected to join the Portugal national squad for their upcoming Nations League matches.
