FT: Barcelona 1-3 Lyon, OL Win Women Champions League (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Ada Hegerberg was on target as Lyon won the UEFA Women’s Champions League beating Barcelona 1-3, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was an incredible scene in the first half of the encounter which provided so much opportunities coming through from both teams going forward.

It was Lyon Women who drew first blood as Amandine Chantal Henry scored a stunner from long range which made it 0-1 for the French side.

It was an amazing half as the pressure was all on the Barcelona side who couldn’t cope with everything happening on the pitch with more being seen.

Ada Stolsmo Hegerberg made it 0-2 in the 23rd minute of the encounter which was an excellent goal scored by her as the game looked opened with the away side cruising.

It was their second shot on target which eventually resulted in another goal happening for them as the match continued looking good for the French side who were on top.

Catarina Macario scored yet another goal making the scoreline 0-3 in the 33rd minute of the match which was looking done and dusted already as it was embarrassing for the opponent.

Alexia Putellas pulled one back in the 41st minutes making sure her side got something before heading for the break with Barcelona 1-3 Lyon after 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half was an evenly balanced one which saw opportunities created an wasted with nothing coming out of it after everything.

Barcelona found their rhythm but it was already too late for that as their opponent had their game plan coming into the second half.

Lyon continued to manage time and making sure they do everything possible to disrupt play on many occasions.

It wasn’t looking well as they both approached the final 10 minutes of the game with just wasted opportunities and nothing more coming out.

The match ended with Barcelona 1-3 Lyon after 90 minutes of football which saw The French side sealing their 8th UEFA Women’s Champions League title.
