KOne of the oldest players in Juventus, Giorgio Chiellini, has finally confirmed that he will leave Turin at the end of the season.

Giorgio Chiellini has been one of the longest-serving members of the Juventus Football Club and has been with the club for 17 years.

The veteran defender joined Juventus from a similar Serie A side Fiorentina in 2005 and has been an invaluable team member.

The Old Ladies lost the Italian Cup to another giant in Italian football, Inter Milan, and it would have been Chiellini’s 6th Coppa Italia since joining the Club.

After a dramatic 4-2 defeat to Inter Milan, Chiellini confirmed that he will be exiting the Italian side at the end of the summer.

“I know I have tried my best for the team and left legacies behind.”

The Old ladies have qualified for the Champions League next season. They are currently fourth in the Serie A table and are 7 points clear of Lazio with two matches remaining.

The 37-year-old won nine straight Serie A titles with Juventus before Inter Milan reclaimed their dominance last season.

But hopes of landing the Scudetto are far above the defender, with the two Milan battling each other for the title.

Chiellini recounted his spell with Juventus in what appears to be an emotional goodbye and farewell message to the team.

“It has been ten good years, and I think others should take up from here.”

MySportDab learnt that Chiellini will finally say goodbye to the Club on Wednesday and has asserted that the decision to leave the team is entirely his’.

Chiellini will likely play his last game for Juventus when they clash with his former club Fiorentina on Monday.
