France international Karim Benzema has won Real Madrid’s 2021-22 Player of the season, MySportDab reports.
Karim Benzema started his professional football career in his home country when he joined Olympique Lyonnais.
The 34-year-old Champions League Winner contributed immensely to the success of Lyon. He won three league titles with the team.
After winning his fourth French Ligue 1 title and a Coup De France, Benzema joined Real Madrid in a deal worth €35 million in 2009.

Before leaving for Spain, Benzema clinched other awards in French Football. He was the League’s top scorer in 2008. He also won the National Union of Professional Footballers Player Of The Year.
The French international has been phenomenal since he took his professional football career to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He has won 21 titles with Real Madrid and is currently the club’s highest assist-giver throughout the club history.
Karim Benzema is also the second to the highest all-time top-scorer for Real Madrid. He has been a dangerous striker who terrifies defenders.
Still at Santiago Bernabeu, he has helped Madrid clinch four league titles and two Copas del Rey, including four Champions League trophies.
This is not the only award won by the former Lyon striker in Spain. In three consecutive seasons, Benzema made it to LaLiga’s team of the season in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21.
In 2019-20 La Liga, he won La Liga Best Player of the season and also helped France U-17 to win the 2004 UEFA European Championship.
Benzema was instrumental in this year’s Real Madrid Champions League campaign hitting the net and giving assists when it matters most.
He scored both home and away against Chelsea and against Manchester City to take Real Madrid to the 2021-22 Champions League Final in Paris.
