Recall that Glazer was a pioneer advocate of the abandoned and beleaguered ‘Super League’ that would have featured top clubs in Europe.

The idea was widely criticized by top Football officials and bodies, including the UEFA and FIFA.

The Super League was like a rival league to UEFA and FIFA Club competitions featuring top European clubs with no relegation and promotion.

Glazer became an Executive Co-Chairman at Old Trafford in 2005 and had seen the team’s glory days when Sir Alex Ferguson was the side’s manager.

Since the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United has been a shadow of their former self without any Premier League Title.

They have also been struggling to qualify for the Champions League, although parading one of the top strikers, midfielders and defenders in the squad.

According to Avram Glazer, they have always invested huge sums into the club and were disappointed with the team’s performance.
