Mikel Arteta’s prime target Marco Asensio has taken a decision on Real Madrid’s future, MySportDab reports.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been eyeing the Spain international to bolster his attacking options.
Asensio has been in a contract war with the 2021-22 La Liga and UEFA Champions League Champions.
He still has a year remaining in his 6 years contract with the Bernabeu club, which he signed in 2017.

The Merengues have offered him a chance to extend his contract with the club and remain with the European champions.
The Mirror reported that the Spain international would like to renew his contract with the club save for a dispute over wages.
The 26-year-old, who has been eyed by Arsenal, could possibly move to the Emirates Stadium if the tug of war between him and Real Madrid continues.
Asensio is reportedly expecting more from Real Madrid than what the Los Blancos are willing to offer.
MySportDab understands that Real Madrid has given him till the 20th of June to reply to the club on the proposed deal extension.
This implies that the Spaniard might be on his way out if no agreement is reached between him and the club before the 20th of the month.
Failure to agree with the club may open the door for Mikel Arteta to have the Spaniard at the Emirates Stadium next summer.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Manchester United and AC Milan are equally interested in the player.
On his Real Madrid future, Asensio had stated:
“We will see what I will do with my future. Renew or leave Real Madrid? I think there are three possibilities, there is also the option to stay and fulfil my contract year.”
Asensio has made 42 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid in the 2021-22 football season and has scored 12 goals with 2 assists.
