Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted Man United Player of the Year after his first season, MySportDab reports.
The Portuguese International Cristiano Ronaldo was key to Manchester United in the just concluded season despite how bad it was for them.
He scored the highest goal for the season amongst all the players in the club who couldn’t make anything happen for the team.
It wasn’t a pleasant season for the Red Devils who struggled all through until the end as they missed out on UEFA Champions League football next season.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been compensated once again for his contribution once again this season.
He has won the award for player of the year which will be handed to him in the coming days.
The striker is currently on international duties representing Portugal who recently released and played a 1-1 draw against Spain a few days ago.
The award was done through a voting process that gifted the Portuguese international the highest amongst all the players on the team.
His performance was key in many games as he helped them through some difficult games that they could have lost.
His goal against Chelsea was also key as that game ended in a draw for Manchester United after 90 minutes of good football.
According to Manchester United, they confirmed him as the winner of the award which didn’t come with a ceremony.
That is another award for the season as he was also voted English Premier League player of the month which was before the season ended.
Adding another one is just a thing known by the Portuguese and he is expected to get more ahead of the new season.
Erik Ten Hag is looking forward to building his team around Cristiano Ronaldo who could also take over as the club captain for the new season.
