The Blues won’t quickly get this move done as there are so many complications attached to it that have kept others away.

The 22-year-old has a £103 million (€120 million) release clause in his contract at Juventus, which any suitors must meet.

The clause expires in 2024, and the club will only consider offers close to that figure for a move to happen.

Given the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer, Chelsea is eager to bring in defensive reinforcements.

They are alsoconsideringt signing Jules Kounde with a release clause of €80 million on his name.

They need to make sure they bring in new players to cover up the opened space, which needs to be occupied by all means necessary.
