There is now a new transfer update about Frenkie De Jong joining Manchester United this summer, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United are now working on a new offer for Barcelona Midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

The clubs are £15m apart in valuation of the player with Barcelona wanting around €80m at least.

But, United submitted an opening bid of £51m plus bonuses.

However, De Jong is new coach Erik ten Hag’s priority in midfield to help improve the squad.

Ten Hag wants United to sign de Jong as soon as because he regards the Dutch midfielder as a key part of the Old Trafford revolution.

Once De Jong signs for Manchester United, Ten Hag will decide which players to sign with the rest of the transfer budget.

Whilst, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have started signing new player, Manchester United are still working on only De Jong.

Manchester United Fans are unhappy about how long the deal for De Jong is taking so far.

United tried to exploit Barça’s perilous financial state and debts of almost £1bn.

Barcelona must submit their accounts to La Liga by July, and determine their spending limits for next season.

A quick sale of De Jong would definitely help Barcelona balance the books financially.

But, Barca board members have approved a £600m fundraising deal to help the club by selling a percentage of TV rights and more to cover the debt.

Barca feel that will help them get more money from Manchester United for De Jong.

Despite their financial crisis, Barcelona still plan to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer from Bayern Munich.
