Manchester City’s attacking midfielder Gabriel Jesus has completed Arsenal medical, MySportDab reports.

The Brazil international has been on the radar of Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta.

Arteta has been bent on improving Arsenal’s attacking line-up for next season.

The Gunners will announce the City striker as a new Arsenal player in a few hours.

Gabriel Jesus was pictured in the morning, giving Arsenal director Edu a warm embrace when he arrived in London for the medicals.

The Gunners had to pay €45m for Gabriel, who was obviously out of Guardiola’s plan for next season.

Gabriel Jesus will be one of Mikel Arteta’s top signings when he is finally announced.

Despite completing the Gabriel Jesus deal, Mikel Arteta is still targeting other top-profile signings.

The Spaniard, a former Arsenal player under Arsene Wenger, has been active in the transfer market.

They are currently rivalling Manchester United with the signing of Ajax star Lisandro Martinez.

The Gunners are said to be ready to improve their bid for the player after submitting their first bid.

Mikel Arteta has also signed Fabio Vieira from Liga De Portugal, still in the quest to bolster the attack against next season.

The Spaniard is said to have used his familiarity with Manchester City to speed up the Gabriel Jesus deal.

Mikel Arteta served as assistant manager under Pep Guardiola before assuming a full-time coaching career at the Emirates.

Arsenal will be looking to improve in the coming 2022-23 Premier League Campaign.

Last season the London-based clubs finished in the 5th position losing the Champions League spot to Tottenham.
