Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has now provided a new update on his future at the club, MySportDab reports.

He has told a fan that he’s ‘fine’ at Barcelona now and is not close to leaving this summer.

However, reports in recent weeks have claimed that he will leave Barcelona as a free agent after failing to sign a new contract.

Dembele has struggled at the Nou Camp since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Despite that, Barca still want him to stay and have already submitted a new offer to the player’s representatives.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have already been linked with signing the 25-year-old.

A lot has now changed after Dembele spoke about his future to a fan.

A fan spotted Dembele on holiday, and asked him a question him about the reports on his future.

The fan asked: ‘Will you stay at Barca?’

Dembele replied and said ‘yes’.

The fan then asked: ‘You don’t want to play for Tuchel?’

Dembele replied: ‘I’m fine here.’

Tuchel has worked with Dembele in the past at Borussia Dortmund.

Despite the new comments, Dembele has only two weeks left before his contract expires in Spain and he would become a free agent.

Barcelona have submitted various proposals to his agent, Moussa Sissoko, but Dembele’s demands are not being met by the club.

However, Dembele’s agent has not responded to Barcelona’s latest contract offer.

Speaking about Dembele’s situation, Barca president Joan Laporta said: ‘We made our proposal but he has not yet accepted it.’

Some reports have said that Dembele is already in ‘advanced talks’ with Chelsea.

Dembele scored 32 goals and provided 34 assists in 150 matches as a Barcelona player.
