The reason behind Petr Cech’s surprising resignation from his role at Chelsea has been revealed, MySportDab reports.
Cech, a former legendary Chelsea goalkeeper, has served as the Blues’ technical and performance advisor.
Cech had been in the role before Todd Boehly officially took over the club’s ownership.
Todd Boehly ended Roman Abramovich’s 19 years reign at Stamford Bridge.

Before Cech’s surprising exit, a former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia who had worked under Abramovich as Director, stepped down from his role.
It was anticipated that the 47-year-old Russian and Canadian business executive would quit after Abramovich left.
She had been an assistant to Roman Abramovich for ten years before he was stripped of the ownership of Chelsea by the British government.
Petr Cech joined Marian Granovskaia to quit his Chelsea role after both clashing with Todd Boehly over the Lukaku transfer.
The duo have reportedly worked hard to bring back Lukaku to Chelsea from Inter Milan.
Todd Boehly gave the nod to the exit of the Belgium international despite disapproval from Cech and Marina.
According to Metro, Petr Cech, who is the technical director, had wanted Lukaku to stay and be given enough playing time to improve.
Despite his opposition to the sale of Lukaku to Inter Milan, the club went forward with the deal.
Petr Cech had been instrumental in several Chelsea transfers under Marina Granovskaia.
Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper Mendy is said to have arrived at Stamford Bridge due to the influence of Petr Cech.
Since the exit of Granovskaia, Todd Boehly has assumed the role of interim Sporting director overseeing transfer decisions.
This has curtailed the influence of Petr Cech in the club leading to his decision to quit his role.
