Barcelona have announced the signing of Jules Kounde from Sevilla this summer window for a reported fee of €50 million with add-ons.
The defender was approached by Chelsea more than one occasion as they were unable to make anything happen in the two times they held talks.
The Blues did made an offer to Sevilla which was reported at about €55 million which they didn’t get to hear back from the Spanish club.
Barcelona came in and hijack the deal once again as they did for other players who is now with them after sealing a move this summer.
Jules Kounde isn’t the first player to be hijacked by Barca who did completed a move for Raphinha who also had his club accept offer from Chelsea.
The move is subject to medical being completed and until they he won’t be officially unveiled for now as they will wait to complete everything.
The defender is another move to happen this summer as Xavi Hernandez is currently doing a rebuild of the team ahead of the new season.
They decide to make the move happen this summer and they are still working on getting more players before the summer window closes for business.
Barcelona announced via their official website that they have reached an agreement to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla.
The deal is a four years contract which will run until 2026 with option to make it extended based on how he performed for the club.
Barcelona are planning on signing Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso who are both still with Chelsea and the Premier League side are not looking to allow that happen.
Jules Kounde is the latest acquisition to the team and they will be looking to make sure he is a good addition to the club as they look to rebuild.
