Cristiano Ronaldo has not arrived for Manchester United’s Pre-season training today, MySportDab reports.
The Portuguese star told Manchester United he won’t be available today due to family reasons.
But there is already so much uncertainty over his future at the club.
Ronaldo was expected to arrive back for his first day of Pre-season today under Erik ten Hag.
But, he has now delayed his return with a good explanation to United.
The news of him missing training comes after he told the club that he wants to leave this summer.
He will only leave if a good offer is submitted and he’s also unhappy about the club’s performance.
Ronaldo is expected to hold talks with Erik ten Hag on his return later.
Ronaldo ‘still loves the club’ but at this stage of his career, he wants to play in the Champions League.
Ronaldo has been with a Champions League club for the last 19 consecutive seasons.
No player in football history has played more Champions League matches than Ronaldo.
However, Manchester United do not want to sell him and there has been no new offers.
His agent Jorge Mendes has already held talks with different clubs in search of a solution.
Ten Hag has already spoken to some United players that returned back for training last week.
The Red Devils are expected to travel for their Pre-season tour on Friday.
The Dutch coach wanted Ronaldo to be part of the season as they travelled for Pre-season.
