Manchester United and Barcelona have reached full agreement over the Frenkie De Jong deal, MySportDab reports.

New manager Erik Ten Hag has been making frantic efforts to sign his former Ajax star Frenkie De Jong.

Ten Hag has identified De Jong as key in his drive to rebuild and reposition the Red Devils.

Transfer talks and negotiations have been ongoing, with United making improved bids for the player.

According to Romano, Man United have reached full agreement with Barcelona for the deal.

United will pay €75m for Frenkie De Jong, with add-ons adding up to €86m.

However, Ten Hag still has an uphill task and hurdle to cross in the Frenkie De Jong deal.

The former Ajax star is bent on staying at Camp Nou despite efforts by his former Coach to bring him to Old Trafford.

The statement by Romano means United and Barcelona must have thrashed out their altercation over the debt owed De Jong by Barcelona.

Barcelona had expected Man United to pay the £17m debt owed De Jong as part of the deal.

The Old Trafford negotiation team rejected this move.

United’s full agreement with Barcelona confirms the Catalan’s position on De Jong.

Barcelona President Laporte has been outwardly expressing his intention to keep De Jong despite United’s interest in the player.

The club and the former Ajax star have been at loggerheads over trust issues.

It is clear that although De Jong is ready to stay at Camp Nou, Barca is prepared to sell the player.

Man United now have to work on the hurdle of convincing the midfielder to switch to Old Trafford.
