Chelsea has defeated Club America 2-1 in a dramatic pre-season match courtesy of Mason Mount’s late-minute strike, MySportDab reports.
First Half
It was a dramatic first-half game, with Chelsea battling the, Mexican club in a thrilling encounter.
The first half kicked off, with the Blues dominating proceedings throughout the match’s opening minutes.
Club America were on the defensive, trying to contain the London-based who were making attempts to get their first goal in the match.

The Mexican side had lee if the possession as Tuchel’s boys continued to dominate the game.
Despite creating enough chances, the Blues’ finishing was extremely poor.
They continued missing clear-cut chances with a porous defence of their opponents.
It was a barren first-half spell for both sides as they could not find the back of the net through the first 45 minutes.
It ended 0-0 as both sides went into the break without a goal.
Second Half
The second half kickstarted with Chelsea pulling more effort to find a goal in the match.
Club America were equally attacking, although holding to bare the attacking prowess of the Blues.
Chelsea continues to dominate the game in every aspect.
They were trying to break through the opponent’s defence without much success.
Werner broke the deadlock for the Blues in the 55th minute giving the Blues a narrow 1-0 lead.
Five minutes later, an own goal by James gave the Mexican club an equaliser making it 1-1.
The Blues continued to press for a goal until Mason Mount’s 83rd-minute strike made it 2-1 for the Premier League side.
The match ended with Tomas Tuchel running away with a crucial 2-1 pre-season win.
