It was a tough match, but the Nigerian side was pressing Botswana heavily, who had won their first game 4-2 against Burundi.

After battling the brink wall defence of the Botswana ladies, the deadlock was broken in the 21st minute.

Ifeoma Onomonu gets the Super Falcons ahead with a goal keeping the match under complete control of the Super Falcons.

The first half ended with the 1 goal lead for the Super Falcons, who can now sigh relief.

Second Half

With the 1-0 lead, the second started with the Super Falcons still pressing hard.

Botswana displays some tactical moves to outplay the Super Falcons, but they rarely land in the Super Falcons box.

The defending Champions continued dominating every part of the game.

Their effort paid off again just 3 minutes into the second half.

Christie Ucheibe’s goal doubled the lead for the Nigerian side making them go two goals up.

Botswana pulled moves to respond to a 2-0 lead, but a more tactically superior Super Falcons side was too good for them.

The match ended 2-0 with their first win in the tournament after a shock 2-0 defeat to the Bayanna Bayanna.
