Manchester City and Manchester United are now ready go face off in a battle to sign Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, MySportDab reports.
Both Manchester clubs have shown slight interest in the player in recent weeks and a deal worth £35million could get the player this summer.
The 26-year-old is running out of contract at Bayern Munich next summer and both clubs have failed to reach an agreement.
Now, According to The Sun, Bayern Munich want to make some money from the player sale now than lose him for free next summer.
So, Manchester City and United are closely monitoring the situation.
Gnabry has rejected a new Bayern contract worth around £200,000 amidst offers from other clubs.
Before leaving England for Germany, he played 18 matches for Arsenal.
Man City Coach Pep Guardiola may need to bring in a replacement in attack this summer, as Raheem Sterling is close to signing for Chelsea.
Gabriel Jesus will also leave to become a new Arsenal player soon too, and there would be room for more signings.
Gnabry can play on both wings and in the middle which is the sort of versatility that Pep Guardiola wants.
He has scored 65 goals in 171 matches for Bayern Munich across all competitions.
New United Coach Erik ten Hag is also monitoring Gnabry with the Red Devils’ yet to announce any signing so far.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to leave the club could lead to the Red Devils having to bring in a new player.
Bayern want to keep Gnabry, but will sell him immediately if a new deal cannot be agreed.
Many Arsenal fans also want Gnabry back at the club.
Arsene Wenger signed him for Arsenal back in 2013, before sending him on loan to West Brom in February 2016.
He eventually joined Werder Bremen for £4.5m before joining Bayern a year later.
Gnabry has gone on to win 12 major trophies with the German giants including four Bundesliga titles.
