Manchester United has officially announced the signing of Christian Eriksen from Brentford, MySportDab reports.
Christian Eriksen is now a Manchester United player after completing his medicals yesterday with the club.
The contract will run until 2025, which is a three-year deal signed by Denmark International, which will be making a return to the big stages.
His career was almost over after he collapsed during a game at the Euro 2020, which spelled doom for his football career.
Christian Eriksen could come back stronger than ever as his move to Brentford helped him restore his career to how it was before the seatback.
During his collapse, Inter Milan had no choice but to terminate his contract with them, putting him back in the market for a possible move anywhere.
During those times as a free agent, no clubs were willing to take the risk of signing him into their team as they weren’t sure he would perform for them.
Brentford had to make that bold move and sign him on a short-term deal until the end of the season, which proved to be the best thing to happen to them.
The contract ended, and no extension was in place for Brentford, with Manchester United coming in to sign the midfielder.
An agreement took a bit longer to agree as other clubs offered Christian Eriksen, who saw the Red Devils’ bid as the best for him.
Medical has been finalizing as the player signed his three years contract as an Old Trafford club’s second signing this summer.
Speaking to Manchester United Official Website, Christian Eriksen said:
“Manchester United is a very special club to me. I can’t wait to start working. I have played at Old Trafford many times but to play in the red shirt of United will be fantastic.
“I have witnessed Erik’s work over the year and the level of detail that he and his staff put into every day.
“He is obviously a fantastic coach. Have spoken with him and learned so much about how he wants the team to play, I am now more excited.
“I still have major ambitions here, there is so much I plan to achieve, and this is the right club to continue.”
Christian Eriksen will be getting everything ready while he resumes preseason with the remaining Manchester United players.
