Todd Boehly has assumed the position of Sporting director in Chelsea after Marina Granovskaia stepped down.

Boehly has overseen all Chelsea transfers so far and is reportedly focusing on hijacking the Frenkie De Jong transfer.

The former Ajax and Barcelona player has been a prime target of Manchester United’s new manager Erik Ten.

Ten Hag has sought a reunion with his former Ajax player as he gets ready to overhaul an underperforming Manchester United.

However, proposals and bids have been made by the Red Devils for the Frenkie De Jong.

According to Metro sport, Man United have reached a broad agreement free amounting to £56.2million.

However, a potential deal between the Red Devils and Barcelona over De Jong has been stalled over deferred salary payments of the Dutchman.

Barcelona reportedly owes Frankie De Jong £17m. It is beloved that Boehly wants to exploit this debt loophole and hijack the deal.

A possible hijack of the deal could be a significant blow to Erik Ten Hag’s plan with Ronaldo looking set to exit the club.
