The new manager fumed over Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness level after he returned to Carrington after preseason absence.
Ronaldo excused himself from the Man United preseason tour stating family issues as the reason.
However, his decision to join the Red Devils in their preseason tour has been linked to his planned exit.

Ronaldo returned to Carrington to join Man United training and was featured in Man United’s last game against Rayo Vallecano.
Man United played a 1-1 draw with the Spanish side, with Ronaldo visibly performing below expectation.
Meanwhile, Erik Ten Hag has called out on the player over his fitness level since returning to the club.
The former Ajax manager says the 37-year-old is not fit to join the spirited Man United team.
Speaking with Sky Sports News, Ten Hag said, ” he is definitely not on the same level of fitness with the current squad because he missed a lot of weeks. He needs games, and he needs to training”.
Ronaldo has been making the headlines after admitting to Man United management that he wanted to leave the Old Trafford club.
Ronaldo is bracing for a Man United exit as he hopes to play Champions League football next season.
He had gone further to announce a possible pay cut for any team that would sign him and allow him to play in the Champions League next summer.
