Lionel Messi scored twice as Argentina beat Honduras 3-0 in the friendly match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was an excellent start to the game, which saw both teams doing so well going forward with the Argentines pressing more.
Honduras gave a good account of themselves in the early stages of the first half, which saw them putting you an excellent defensive wall that couldn’t be broken down.
Argentina had to wait until the 16th minute to score the match’s opening goal, which came through Lautaro Martinez, who finished off brilliantly to make it 1-0 for his side.
The game continued advancing into the end of the first half as Lionel Messi netted a second goal in the 45th minute plus additional time, which made the scoreline 2-0.
The first half ended with Argentina taking a 2-0 lead into the break against Honduras, who couldn’t stop them from scoring the goals in the 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half was more similar, but this time, the goals weren’t too many from the home side, who continued with their dominance.
Argentina slowed down a bit as they knew the advantage was on them, and they needed to cool things down and hope to score more against their opponent.
Honduras did an excellent job of making sure they didn’t concede more, approaching the one-hour mark, in which there were still more opportunities coming from both ends but no goal.
Lionel Messi made it 3-0 in the 69th minute of the game after an electrifying goal which also made it his brace for the encounter as things continued looking good.
The match ended with Argentina taking a comfortable 3-0 win against Honduras in their friendly game after 90 minutes of football played between them.
