Edward Nketiah scored the winning goal as Arsenal opened their Europa League campaign with a 1-2 win over FC Zurich, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was for both teams, who gave a good account of themselves going forward and their defending.
The first 15 minutes between FC Zurich Vs Arsenal were dry as nothing good could come out of all the opportunities that was created by both of the teams.
Marquinhos gave the Gunners the lead in the 17th minute of the match which was after a good teamwork effort that saw Edward Nketiah providing the assist that made it 0-1.
The away side closed up their defense after letting one goal in as they start pushing to make sure they are able to make something happen for themselves which didn’t come immediately.
The leveler came in the 44th minute of the game as Mirlind Kryeziu converted from the penalty spot to make the scoreline 1-1 as they continued.
The first half came to an end with FC Zurich holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw after 45 minutes of football played between them for the encounter.
Second Half Report
The second half was another good one which both teams did same thing again by making sure they defend well.
FC Zurich had a lot of work to do as the pressure was on all of them, knowing they were the side with fewer quality players on the pitch.
Arsenal pressed until Edward Nketiah made it 1-2 in the 62nd minute of the game as Marquinhos repaid the favor by supplying him with the assist.
The match carried on with nothing good coming from both sides, who approached the final 10 minutes of regular time without being able to make anything happen.
The encounter came to an end with Arsenal securing a 1-2 win against FC Zurich after 90 minutes of football which was played between the two of them for the day.
