FT: Sporting 2-0 Tottenham, Spurs Sink To Late GOALS! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Two late goals from Sporting Lisbon saw them crush Tottenham 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both teams didn’t find it easy in the first half of the encounter despite all their attempts going forward in the 45 minutes.

Sporting Lisbon did well enough to hold the Premier League side hostage in a situation where they could not make anything good happen on the pitch.

Tottenham tried everything trick they had to ensure happened, but the more they pushed, the more they got frustrated due to their inability to make good of their opportunities.

The opportunities kept coming and going, with nothing good happening as they approached the final minutes of the first half, which was very dry in terms of goals coming from either of them.

The first half of the match ended with Sporting Lisbon holding Tottenham to a goalless 0-0 draw scoreline after 45 minutes of football between them.

Second Half Report

The second half of the match started well for both teams, who were heavily involved in attacking and defending to ensure things worked in their favor as the game continued.

Tottenham still couldn’t make anything work out as the match was still going on with so many opportunities, but nothing good with the finishing touches as it carried on.

Sporting Lisbon continued to hang on to something as their aim was making sure they held on until the end to savage one point, which would mean a lot for them as it was looking to go that way.

The clock hit 80 minutes mark, and it was still goalless between them, with Spurs running out of time to make something happen in the game.

Paulinho made it 1-0 in the 90th minute plus additional time, and immediately again Arthur made it 2-0 in the same added minutes left in the encounter.

The match ended with Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Tottenham; a result nobody expected to happen for the Portuguese side after 90 minutes.
