Manchester United’s Europa League Squad has now been confirmed by the club, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils begin their Europa League campaign on Thursday.
Phil Jones and Brandon Williams are omitted from the group stage squad released today.
Jones has been unavailable due to injury since pre-season training started on June 27.
The English defender is now in the final year of his Manchester United contract.
United could still extend his contract by another year but it now looks unlikely due to his injury record.
However, Williams is not included due to injury and has not played at all this season.
Axel Tuanzebe and Facundo Pellistri, despite being injured, are both in the 25-man squad.
Anthony Elanga is not in the squad A as he qualifies to be included in the B list.
A Uefa rule states: “If a player is born on or after January 1, 2001, he can be included on List B and has played for his parent club for at least two years since his 15th birthday or for a total of three years with one loan to another club for a period not longer than one year.”
All of United’s summer signings are in the squad and could play in the opening group match against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
United are in the same group with Omonia FC and Moldovan club FC Sheriff.
