Reece James Signs New 6-year Chelsea Contract! (Details)

Reece James has signed a new contract extension deal with Chelsea, MySportDab reports

The new contract extension deal will see the 22-year-old England right-back stay at Stamford Bridge till 2028.

Penning down the six-years contract, Reece James said that he is over the moon and is optimistic about the future of the club.

James has been at Chelsea since he was six years old, and a contract extension for the youngster has been a top priority for the Chelsea hierarchy led by Todd Boehly.

Since making a debut for the Premier League club in the 2019/2020 football season, he has made 128 appearances for the club.

Reece has been a key part of the Blues squad since the beginning ot this season and has assisted the club in both attacking and defending impetus.

Despite Chelsea’s slow start to the season, Reece has won the Champions League, Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup with the Blues.

Reacting to the new deal, Reece James said;

“I am over the moon with my new contrac,t and I’m thankful for the fans, the new ownership and everyone involved in the club. I cannot wait to see what the future holds, and I am sure we will have the chance of winning many trophies.”

“I grew up supporting this club and I’ve been here since I was a six-year-old. I put pen to paper on a new deal because this is the club I want to be at. I’d like to say a special thanks to the fans, I am here to stay and we have a bright future ahead of us.”

Chelsea ownership have equally expressed their delight in having the 22-year-old sign a contract extension ashtray strongly believes in the quality he brings to the squad.
