Salzburg Chief Stephan Reiter has debunked news linking Christoph Freund to move to Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
Chelsea has been reported to be close on brokering a deal which will see Christoph Freund joining the London club as new sporting director.
Todd Boehly is finally expected to hand off his sporting director role a the club after taking over as interim director due to the resignation of Marina Granovskaia.

Talks have linked Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund, 45, to the role, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that the top talent manager may be unveiled as the new Chelsea sporting director in just a matter of days.
In a shocking development, Salzburg Chief has come out to openly debunk the news linking Christoph Freud to a Chelsea move.
Reiter, in a menacing comment, dismissed the possibility of Christoph Freund joining the West London club as a new sporting director.
Reiter threatened to elongate the transfer saga, saying that Christoph Freund joining Chelsea can ‘definitely’ be ruled out.
While Speaking with Sky Sports Austria, Reiter denied any knowledge of Christoph’s impending move to Chelsea and emphasized that the highly-rated director is set to stay at Salzburg with his current contract running till 2026.
”I Chelsea or Christoph Freund have not spoken to me or the management of the club about a move. I can definitely rule that out; nothing has happened.
Christoph just signed a contract and will be with us until 2026, as it applies to players, coaches, or managers,” he said.
Salzburg have to give the nod before the Christoph Chelsea rumored deal can go through. As things stand, it is still unknown whether the 45-year-old who groomed the like of Sadio Mane and Erling Haaland will make the move
