A stoppage-time goal by former Chelsea star Rudiger has helped Real Madrid survive the Shakhtar Donetsk scare as they settled for a 1-1 draw in their Champions League matchday four clash, MySportDab reports.
First Half
Real Madrid started on a very good note as they dominated the game and pushed the visitors to the defense.
The first leg of the encounter had ended in a win for the Los Blancos, who defeated the Ukrainian champions at Santiago Bernabeu.
Shakhtar Donetsk also gave good account of themselves as they also attempted to get something out of the game.
The game was more balanced as it approached the final minutes of the first as both sides successfully marked out each from finding the back of the net.

Second Half
The second half started in earnest as Real Madrid increased pressure to get something out of the game, all to no avail.
Shakhtar Donetsk showed great and brilliant tactical skills pushing forward and threatening the Real Madrid defense.
They also marked out Real Madrid from finding the back of the net desire the host having a superior goal difference.
In the 46th minute, it was a surprise goal for the visitors as they suddenly took a lead courtesy of Zubkov’s strike.
Real Madrid immediately ramped up efforts to find an equalizer after surprisingly trailing the visitors by a lone.
They had a slew of chances going forward, but were unable to convert them into a goal.
Finally a stoppage-time strike in the 90+5th minute by Rudiger secured a a draw for the Los Blancos.
