Kylian Mbappe got booed by fans as he arrived for Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in France, MySportDab reports.
Fans booed the PSG player as he entered the Theatre du Chatelet amid reports he wants to leave the French club in January.
Mbappe’s future at PSG has been a topic of intense speculation and there are suggestions that the 23-year-old wants to leave immediately.
Reports also suggest he’s considering terminating his PSG contract signed a few months ago.
Despite winning the 2018 World Cup with France and being one of football’s best young players, Mbappe has fallen on the bad side of fans in his home county.
He received boos as he arrived with his father at the ceremony and the Frenchman rushed his way past the fans to pose for photos at the event.
The official Ballon D’Or Twitter account shared the video and it has now gotten over one million views and reactions worldwide.
Mbappe looked uncomfortable under an umbrella as the shouts from fans follow him into the theatre.
It got worse for Mbappe last night as he placed sixth in the final Ballon D’Or standing and Karim Benzema won the award.
He denied rumours that he wanted out of PSG on Sunday after the 1-0 league win over Marseille.
