Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been named winner of the Yachine Trophy, MySportDab reports.
The Belgium goalkeeper did exceptionally well for Real Madrid and he helped them win multiple titles which included the UEFA Champions League.
He now succeeds Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who claimed the award last time which was mostly tied with his success with Italy.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper was faced with a lot of criticism during the last season but he did everything in his power to make sure he improved on himself.
His contribution led to Real Madrid beating Liverpool to claim the UEFA Champions League for the 2021-22 season.
He also win the laliga Santander title with Madrid who was so dominant and made sure they didn’t spear anything last season.
Thibaut Courtois winning the award is well deserved as he earn it with everything he did last season for Real Madrid.
He will be taking charge as the number one for Belgium in next month FIFA World Cup which will be happening in Qatar.
He will also be hoping to win the World Cup this year with a lot at stake with so many Nations looking to also grab the title in Qatar.
