Everton fans did not hide their anger after they lost 3-0 against Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
The Toffees fans were hoping for a better result after losing 4-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
However, they conceded twice in the opening 25 minutes and lost the match.
After the match, Everton’s players went towards the visiting fans, and security were forced to intervene as supporters showed their anger at Lampard’s team.
Alex Iwobi and some players threw shirts into the stands for the fans but the fans threw them back at the players immediately.
Jordan Pickford was also seen in disbelief, while Lampard tried everything to calm down the Everton fans.
After the match, Coady revealed that the performance from Everton was unacceptable.
‘We were definitely not good enough,’ the centre-back said.
‘They had more desire to win. We have many things to learn, we need to improve.’
Lampard talked about the shirt incidenti nvolving fans and Alex Iwobi’s shirt.
He said: ‘That was obviously a misunderstanding, Alex had some friends at the front of the fans, there was nothing there, and the players just have to accept that fans will always share their opinions,’ he said.
