Anthony Martial has now given Manchester United a major boost today, MySportDab reports.
The Frenchman has now returned back to first-team training with his teammates at Carrington on Monday.
Coach Erik ten Hag confirmed last week that he wasn’t sure if Martial could play again before the World Cup after he mused the last six matches.
However, he rejoined his team-mates in training on Monday for training and could play in United’s last four matches before the World Cup.
Martial has excelled under Ten Hag despite his poor loan spell at Sevilla last season, but his injuries have made life difficult again.
The 26-year-old suffered an hamstring injury in a pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid before the season started and then got hurt at Everton again.
Martial still has hopes of playing for France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Ahead of Thursday’s key Europa League match against Real Sociedad, his return is a massive boost for the team.
Ten Hag will provide a new update on his fitness at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
On Monday, Manchester United announced plans for a training camp schedule in Spain and a friendly match against Cadiz on December 7.
A second friendly date will be confirmed soon.
Ten Hag added: ‘It’s not a normal season. It’s not usual to have a World Cup, but also players not all players will go. We have to train those around during the six weeks and we have to keep them at the right fitness levels.’
