Arsenal defeated Wolves 0-2 to go five points clear on the top of the Premier League table, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Arsenal dominated the game as the first half started and made some attempts to take an early lead.

Wolves show some improvement from past games under their new manager Julen Lopetegui, who had succeeded Bruno Lage at the Molineux.

Overall, Arsenal was the better in the first half, creating some clinical chances and pushing back the hosts.

However, they could not find the back of the net as Wolves effectively marked them up in the final third and stopped them from finding the back of the net.

Both sides went into the break with a barren draw.

Second Half Report

Arsenal improved their game and ramped up attempts to find an early goal as they hope to take advantage of Manchester City’s slip to Brentford at Etihad.

Wolves were equally menacing on the counter when winning possession and had some clear chances that would have put them ahead.

They failed to convert them and had to concede a goal later in the 54th minute when Marti  Odegaard finally got an opener for the Gunners.

Despite going a goal up, Arsenal still dominated possession and pressed for another goal to kill the game and secure the win.

It was Martin Odegaard again who got his brace after he scored in the 72nd minute to double the lead for the Gunners.

Arsenal ended the game with a convincing 0-2 win, as they head into the World Cup break with five points ahead of second-place team Manchester City.
