FT: Chelsea 2-1 Dinamo Zagreb, Blues Finish TOP! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Denis Zakaria scored his debut goal as Chelsea beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 to finish top of the group, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter wasn’t bad as both teams had something to celebrate going forward against themselves all through the 45 minutes.

Dinamo Zagreb opened the goal scoring in the 7th minutes through a goal scored by Bruno Petkovic which saw the scoreline turned 0-1 for the away team.

Chelsea did everything from their path to make sure they are able to make a comeback in the game which came in the 18th minute from Raheem Sterling to make it 1-1 for the night.

Another one followed up from debutant Denis Zakaria who scored in the 30th minute of the game after finishing off neatly from the opportunity presented to him to make it 2-1.

That goal was enough as the first half of the match came to an end with Chelsea taking a 2-1 lead heading into the break against Dinamo Zagreb after 45 minutes of football played.

Second Half Report

The second half had more coming from both teams with more of the pressing being faced by the away side who did so much to hold on.

Chelsea were the better of both teams in the second half of the game, but their efforts wasn’t going well as Aubameyang striker came off the bar.

Dinamo Zagreb were just doing everything possible to remain in the game but they couldn’t make any move knowing the pressure was all over them on the pitch.

Nothing changed the scoreline which saw the match hit the 90th minute and the referee showed up the additional time to be played.

The match came to an end with Chelsea claiming a 2-1 victory against Dinamo Zagreb which sees them finishing on top of the table.
