Kalidou Koulibaly scored the winning goal as Senegal advanced to the round of 16 beating Ecuador 1-2, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was filled with a lot coming from both ends who did well enough to make sure things worked out for them as it carried on.
Ecuador started the game well making sure they are able to make something happen from their end but all their effort was abortive and nothing could come out at any point.
Senegal also had their numerous opportunities which also couldn’t see them make something happen knowing they needed to ensure they make a way into the next round.
The opening goal finally happened in the 44th minute of the game which saw Ismaila Sarr convert from the penalty spot through a goal which made the scoreline 0-1 going forward.
The first half came to an end with Senegal taking a 0-1 advantage into the break against Ecuador who did everything possible but couldn’t secure anything.
Second Half Report
The second half resume with a lot coming from both teams who knew what was at stake in the match which continued with a lot more happening.
Senegal only hope of making it through was to make sure they defend with all their lives knowing their lead is all that is saving them from crashing out.
Ecuador soon leveled things 1-1 in the 68th minute of the game which saw Moisés Caicedo scoring from a beautiful finish which ensure everything went back to start.
Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly smashed one back making sure his side restored their advantage in the 70th which made the scoreline 1-2.
The game Carried on and came to an end with Senegal claiming all three points beating Ecuador 1-2 and also made it through into round 16 alongside the Netherlands.
