Bruno Fernandes scored a brace as Portugal defeat Nigeria 4-0 in an international friendly match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The Portuguese had it good in the first half which saw them commanding play and also scoring twice in the 45 minute of the game.
It took Portugal just 9 minutes to score the opening goal which came from Bruno Fernandes who was assisted by his fellow Manchester United teammate as they made it 1-0 in the match.
Nigeria weren’t not good enough as they were playing deep in their own half while they wait to hit on a counter attack which their opponent didn’t give them any opportunity.
The second goal of the match came in the 25th minute of the game which saw Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot to make the scoreline 2-0 as things progressed between both teams.
The first half ended with Portugal taking a 2-0 advantage against Nigeria after 45 minutes played between the both of them which was just a one sided affair.
Second Half Report
The second half was more balanced between both Nations as the Super Eagles had a bit more composure and control of what was going on in the game.
Nigeria were a bit better but they weren’t that good enough to get something back quickly in the early stages of the second half which saw them doing a lot on the pitch.
Portugal from their end couldn’t find a way of adding to their advantage which was already looking good as they entered the 70th minutes before Rui Patricio saved Emmanuel Dennis penalty kick.
Goncalo Ramos tapped the ball inside an empty net in the 82nd minute after a lovely teamwork pass saw them breaking the defense open for their 3-0 lead.
Another goal followed up in the same fashion as the 3rd which this time saw Joao Mario making 4-0 in the 84th minute of the game.
The match ended with Portugal claiming a 4-0 victory against Nigeria after 90 minutes of football which was played between the both of them for the night.
