Chelsea ANNOUNCE Christopher Vivell As New Technical Director

Chelsea have announced Christopher Vivell as the club’s new technical director, MySportDab reports.

Christopher Vivell, 36, is a renowned name who has worked with clubs such as RB Leipzig in Germany and RB Salzburg in Austria, including Hoffenheim.

 

He oversaw club’s recruitment and scouting across all age groups and is known for his spot-on eye for youngsters that have risen to prominence in football.

Christopher Vivell, 36, previously worked at RB Leipzig in his native Germany, where he was responsible for recruitment and scouting across all age groups.

At RB Salzburg, Christopher Vivell spent five years taking charge of scouting and recruitment.

He oversaw the signing of former Borussia Dortmund and now Manchester City star Erling Haaland and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.

He also worked as a first-team scout at Bundesliga club Hoffenheim before his spell with RB Salzburg.

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly said Vivell would provide support for manager Graham Potter as he succeeds Petr Cesc at the club

Boehly said: “We are delighted that Christopher is taking up this important leadership role at the club.

“His work in Germany and Austria speaks for itself. We are confident he will continue on his impressive trajectory here at Chelsea.

“He will provide important support to Graham and the ownership group and play a vital part in advancing our overall vision for the club.”

“Under the new ownership, Graham Potter and the broader sporting team, there is a clear and sustainable philosophy underpinned by performance analysis, data and innovation, and I am looking forward to playing a part in that.”

Some of the notable names that have been linked to Christopher Vivell includes Karim Adeyemi, Erling Haaland, and Benjamin Sesko.

At RB Leipzig, he signed the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Andre Silva, Josko Gvardiol, Timo Werner, and Benjamin Sesko.
