Erik Ten hag Breaks Silence On Cristiano Ronaldo’s Exit!

Erik Ten Hag has finally broken his long-held silence on the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo from the team, MySportDab reports.

Ronaldo parted ways with the Red Devils after both parties settled for a mutual contract termination due to the fallout from the Piers Morgan interview.

Ronaldo raised hackles when he granted a controversial bombshell interview with his friend and veteran Journalist, Piers Morgan.

Following the interview, Manchester United pulled down a giant mural at Old Trafford featuring the legendary forward.

They also initiated the contract termination process while Ronaldo joined the Portugal squad for the World Cup.

New Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag was at the forefront supporting the call to end Ronaldo’s contract.

He reportedly postponed his scheduled holiday, summoning the Manchester United hierarchy and telling them he doesn’t want Cristiano Ronaldo to play for the club again.

The Portuguese star had his two-year contract terminated with seven months remaining to the end of the contract, which was to run out at the end of this season.

Since leaving the club, Ronaldo has been in the spotlights, but Erik Ten Hag has remained mute after the incident.

Now, the former Ajax manager has spoken for the first time from Spain, where he took the team for a winter training camp.

When asked by former footballer and MUTV presenter Danny Webber about the January transfer window and how he has managed the departure of Ronaldo, ten Hag said Ronaldo’s saga is in the past and that he is focusing on the future.

”He’s gone and it’s the past. We are now looking forward and we’re looking to the future,” he said.

After Manchester United’s exit, some football clubs in the Middle East have indicated an interest in the Portuguese star, with Al Nassr leading the race of interest in the 37-year-old.
